Independent car audio · Wakefield
The boot is the speaker.
Custom sub enclosures, amp racks, door cards, speakers and head units — designed, built and tuned in our own bay at Horbury Junction. We have been fitting car audio in West Yorkshire long enough to know that the box is the job.

Scope — what we do
Six things,
one bay.
Supply and fitting, from a head unit to a full custom install. Everything below is done in the workshop at Horbury Junction — nothing is sent away.
- Stereo fitting Head units supplied and fitted — wired, trimmed and working with the car's own controls.
- Speaker fitting Doors and rear panels, in our own speakers or the ones you have already bought.
- Amplifier fitting Amplifiers supplied and fitted, or your own amp racked and wired properly.
- Reverse cameras A camera that comes on with reverse, mounted where it can actually see.
- Custom sub enclosures Designed, tuned and built to your vehicle and your subwoofer, not a box off a shelf.
- Custom door cards Bespoke cards, built and trimmed when the originals will not take the speakers.
Work order — stages 01–06
A build runs
through the bay.
Six stages, in order. Pick one to see the work — every photograph on this page is one of ours, taken on a job, and captioned with what is actually in the frame.
Every job starts with the car in the bay and the trim out. We measure the space behind the panels, check what the car already has, and work out what will fit before anything is ordered.
- 01Space behind the trim
- 02Mounting depth
- 03What wiring is already there
- 04Where the cables will run
Before anything heavy goes in, the panels come off and the metal gets lined — doors, boot lid, floor. It is the least photogenic part of the job, and the reason the rest of it sounds clean at volume instead of rattling.
Custom designed and tuned, built to the shape of the boot rather than dropped into it. Volume, port and mounting depth are worked out on paper first, then the enclosure is cut, glued, carpeted and test-fitted before the subs go anywhere near it.
The amp gets a rack, not the back of a seat. Power comes from the battery with a fuse at the front, signal runs down one side and speaker cable down the other, and everything is terminated and clipped so nothing hangs loose behind a panel.
Signal path · head unit → amp → sub + doors
Door speakers, component sets, head units and reversing cameras. Where the original door cards will not take the speakers, we build new ones — shaped, trimmed and loaded, then fitted to the car.
The last job is the listen. Gains, crossovers and the balance between the sub and the doors, set with the car running and the seats where you sit. Then the trim goes back on, the car gets cleaned down, and you take the keys.

Photographs — recent work
Built here,
photographed here.
No stock cars on a beach road. These are boots and doors that came through the bay, photographed when the trim went back on.
Every one of these is a car that came in as a normal car and left with a working system. The full set lives in the gallery — same photographs, same captions.
